In the Russian city of Lipetsk, a series of explosions occurred, followed by a fire on the territory of the local metallurgical plant. It is possible that the enterprise was attacked by drones, according to Russian media reports.

The moment of the explosion was captured on video.

The Telegram channel Mash reported a strong fire on the territory of the Novolipetsk Metallurgical Plant (NLMK).

According to eyewitnesses, several explosions were heard over the city before this, and shortly before that, locals heard the sounds of drones. Preliminarily, the air defense system could have targeted them.

Judging by the footage, the fire is burning directly on the plant's premises. The enterprise produces polymer-coated steel, including for state needs.

Governor of the Lipetsk region, Igor Artamonov, reported that there was a fire in one of the workshops at NLMK. The fire has been extinguished, and there are no casualties. There is no threat of hazardous substances being released.

According to unconfirmed information from the special services, the cause of the fire was the crash of a drone.
