Drone attack triggers explosions in Lviv

In the early hours of January 15, Russia carried out another attempt to strike Ukraine. This time, explosions were reported in Lviv, located approximately 1,000 km from the front line, according to Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi.
The city mayor wrote at 06:41 AM on his account that explosions were being heard in Lviv. Andriy Sadovyi also urged residents to follow safety rules during air raid alerts and to remain in shelters.
Any additional information is being clarified and will be reported as appropriate. It is not yet known whether there are casualties as a result of the attack.
An air raid alert in Lviv was announced at 06:09 AM, according to Maksym Kozytskyi. At 06:54 AM, the official reported that a hostile combat drone struck central Lviv. Kozytskyi added that all relevant emergency services had been dispatched to the impact site and that details were being clarified.
By the time of publication, the air raid alert in Lviv had been lifted.
Strike on Ukraine on January 15
Russian forces continue attempts to harm Ukraine’s civilian population, including critical civilian infrastructure. Drones continued to be detected over Ukrainian territory.
On the morning of January 15, an air raid alert was also declared in Kyiv. Earlier, the military had warned of a hostile drone detected in the Vyshhorod district moving toward the capital, prompting residents to immediately seek shelter.
