Drone attack: strike reported on residential building in Kyiv

Russian forces are carrying out a massive drone strike on Kyiv. A residential building in the city has been hit, according to the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Tymur Tkachenko, and Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.
A second wave of Russian Shahed drones approached Kyiv around 2:00 AM Kyiv time. Debris fell in several districts, and there were direct strikes on buildings. Explosions were heard across the city as air defense systems engaged the drones.
Shevchenkivskyi district
Preliminary reports indicate a strike on a non-residential building and debris falling in an open area.
Another strike reportedly hit a residential building.
Drone fragments also fell near a gas station and at another location, onto the roof of a residential building. Information on casualties is being clarified.
A fire was reported on the top floor of a residential building.
Garage structures were also seen burning at another address.
Emergency medical teams have been dispatched to several more locations within the district.
Darnytskyi district
Fragments of a drone fell in the courtyard of a residential building.
Another emergency call was recorded in the area. A fire was also preliminarily reported in an apartment building. Emergency services are en route.
Solomianskyi District
Medical teams have been dispatched to the district.
Massive drone attack by Russia
During the night of July 10, Russian forces launched a large-scale kamikaze drone attack on Ukraine using Shahed drones.
Around 1:00 AM Kyiv time, explosions were heard in Kyiv as air defense systems engaged the incoming drones.
After a brief pause, another wave of explosions occurred around 1:45 AM. Monitoring channels had earlier warned that approximately 15 drones were approaching the city.
