Drone attack on enterprises and fire reported in Voronezh region
In the Voronezh region of Russia, air defense systems were activated during the night of October 5 due to the detection of drones. Several enterprises were targeted in the aerial assault, resulting in a fire outbreak, according to Voronezh Governor Aleksandr Gusev.
According to a Russian official, air defense and electronic warfare systems reportedly shot down and suppressed several drones during the night.
He claims that Ukraine is behind the aerial assault, stating that the drones allegedly attempted to attack several enterprises producing civilian goods.
The governor of Voronezh reported that a fire occurred in the building of one of the enterprises on one floor, and operational service representatives are currently working at the site.
"At another enterprise that was targeted by the drones, there were no casualties or destruction," the official wrote online.
He also noted that as a result of the incident, one person sustained shrapnel injuries to the arm.
Meanwhile, Russian media specify that the drone attack targeted the Etanol Spyrt alcohol distillery located in Novokhopyorsk, Voronezh region. Footage of the explosion and fire from the site has also been shared online.
Drone attack in Russia
The day before, a distillery in the Belgorod region was also reportedly damaged due to a drone attack.
On the evening of October 4, local Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov announced an explosion caused by the detonation of a drone at the site of an industrial enterprise, resulting in partial destruction and a fire. The facility is located in the village of Peschanka in the Starooskolsky urban district.
Corresponding photos and videos circulating online show the aftermath of the drone strike on the local distillery.

Additionally, the day before yesterday, Ukrainian drones attacked the Borisoglebsk airfield in the Voronezh region, where Russian storage facilities for guided bombs and parking areas for Su-35 and Su-34 aircraft are located. Photos and videos of the aftermath of the attack have been shared online, with satellite images capturing four fire hotspots within the airfield.
On the night of October 4, the Annanefteprodukt oil depot in the Voronezh region was also targeted. Sources from RBC-Ukraine reported that the facility was struck by drones operated by the Security Service of Ukraine, which housed dozens of fuel storage tanks.
