Drone attack causes damage in Kyiv region, one person injured
Russian occupiers have attempted to attack the Kyiv region for three consecutive nights. Air defense systems were active in the region during the night of August 7, according to the Kyiv Regional Military Administration (RMA).
The air raid alarm in the Kyiv region lasted over eight hours due to a drone attack. The region's air defense managed to shoot down the enemy drones.
As a result of falling debris from downed Shahed drones, one person was injured, sustaining shrapnel wounds to their leg.
According to the RMA, damage was recorded in two communities in the Kyiv region, affecting 22 private houses and an outbuilding. Roofs, windows, and doors were damaged, and facades were scarred. Fences on residential properties were also damaged.
"All necessary assistance will be provided to the victims. Emergency services continue to assess the consequences of the attack," the RMA reported.
Drone attack on August 7
During the night, Russian forces launched 30 kamikaze drones at Ukraine. These drones approached from multiple directions.
Air defense forces successfully destroyed all 30 Shaheds. The air defense systems were active in seven regions of Ukraine: Kyiv, Khmelnytskyi, Vinnytsia, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Kharkiv, and Cherkasy.
Debris from destroyed drones also fell in the Khmelnytskyi region. The attack damaged a facility, including storage tanks and a workshop. Fortunately, no one was injured.
