Dophin's spider drone: Ukraine's Digital Ministry shows new frontline weapon (video)

Ukrainians have created a unique drone with artificial intelligence that helps strike targets at distances over 50 kilometers. The new development is called the Dophin's spider, Ukraine's Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov, reports.
According to Fedorov, the development is the result of cooperation between engineers from the 3rd Assault Brigade, the company Omnitech, and the defense platform Brave1. The idea for the drone originated directly on the front lines in the brigade's R&D laboratories. The drone is named after a fallen soldier with the call sign Dophin.
"The drone is developed in his honor - and already now delivers retribution to the enemy at distances of 50+ km," Fedorov said.
As the Minister emphasized, the drone surpasses foreign counterparts in key performance indicators and autonomously navigates the terrain using artificial intelligence algorithms. Its primary role is reliable communication for strike UAVs deep behind enemy lines.
This allows Ukrainian drones to appear in unexpected places for the enemy and effectively destroy anti-aircraft missile systems, logistics hubs, and other important targets.
Fedorov added that the technology is already being used at the front and will be scaled to increase enemy losses.
Drones in war in Ukraine
Today, drones play an important role in the war, significantly impacting the course of combat operations. They are used for reconnaissance, artillery fire correction, strikes on enemy equipment and personnel, as well as defense against attacks.
The use of drones has become one of the key tactics on the front line. Their effectiveness forces both Ukraine and Russia to constantly adapt their actions and change their approaches to conducting military operations.
Earlier, Fedorov spoke about the Ukrainian drone Katran, which is used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Operations involving it are classified.
Ukraine is also actively working on producing interceptor drones. There have already been first results.
