'Doing a great job': Trump backs Hegseth amid Signal scandal

US President Donald Trump expressed confidence in Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth amid media reports that the Pentagon chief shared information about upcoming strikes on Yemen in a closed Signal group chat, Bloomberg reports.
Trump stated that Hegseth is "doing a great job," despite facing attacks from "disgruntled employees."
"Ask the Houthis how much dysfunction there is," Trump told reporters.
New Pentagon scandal
Recall that today, The New York Times reported that Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth shared detailed information about upcoming strikes on Yemen in a closed Signal group chat on March 15. The chat included his wife, brother, and personal attorney.
Later, the Pentagon called the publication fake and stated that the information in the Signal chat was non-classified.
