Dita von Teese, fire and a giant shoe: Louboutin turns fashion show into spectacle

Christian Louboutin took an unconventional approach to presenting its women's spring-summer 2027 collection in Paris. Instead of a traditional runway show, the brand staged a theatrical performance dedicated to its iconic La Pigalle pumps. American performer Dita von Teese headlined the show.
What Christian Louboutin's Paris show was like
The presentation took place at the Théâtre du Châtelet during Paris Fashion Week. This time, Louboutin presented a show titled Eternal Youth—a large-scale production that brought together fashion, theater, music, dance, and burlesque.
Dita von Teese was at the center of the story. Her performances alternated with choreographed numbers set to both contemporary and classical music.
At the beginning of the show, Dita appeared as Snow White, with perfectly styled black hair, red lips, and an apple in her hand, but the storyline departed from the classic fairy tale. Instead of a story about a princess waiting to be rescued by a prince, the production focused on the heroine's self-empowerment and inner strength.
During the performance, the artist changed several outfits, including a sparkling corset by designer Mr. Pearl, a white cape by John Galliano, and a headpiece by Stephen Jones.
The final act ended with von Teese's signature striptease, followed by a shower of confetti and a rain of fire that filled the stage.
For the finale, Christian Louboutin himself joined the performer onstage. He played a masked character in the production.

Iconic La Pigalle shoes get a new interpretation
The show's star footwear was La Pigalle, one of Christian Louboutin's most recognizable designs. The shoes are named after Paris' Pigalle district and were first introduced in 2004.
The style is defined by its sleek silhouette and pointed toe and has become one of the brand's signatures. In the new production, La Pigalle appeared not only on the feet of models and performers but also in the set design. For the finale, the team created a giant version of the shoes for Dita von Teese.
Among the exclusive designs created in the brand's atelier were shoes featuring golden feathered wings and the Macbetha model, which von Teese wore during the show. The footwear featured crystals and sculptural metal details.
Louboutin also unveiled a new interpretation of the Ballerina Ultima. For spring-summer 2027, the style appeared in fiery red, with an embroidered upper, a crystal-covered sole, and decorative elements on the heels.
