Digital Ministry: The past day was difficult amid Russian strikes on data centers

The past day, September 26, was difficult for Ukraine's digital and telecommunications infrastructure due to Russian strikes on data centers. However, specialists continue to work, restore and strengthen the infrastructure, according to Ukraine's Minister of Digital Transformation Oksana Furchuk.
"The past day was difficult for digital and telecommunications infrastructure. The enemy carried out massive attacks, including on Kyiv and the region," Furchuk said.
She thanked the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and city and regional services, electronic communications operators, energy and infrastructure companies, as well as all industry specialists for their resilience and readiness to respond promptly to attacks.
"We continue to work, restore and strengthen the infrastructure," the minister stressed.
Strikes on data centers
As a reminder, Russian forces have intensified targeted strikes on digital infrastructure and communications facilities in the capital in recent days.
In particular, on the morning of September 26, the Cosmonova data center sustained significant damage as a result of a series of enemy strikes. The facility suffered extensive damage and completely ceased its operations.
The strikes on data centers caused systemic technical problems - the broadcasts of several TV channels were disrupted in Ukraine, and internet providers experienced outages.
At the same time, experts emphasize that Russia will not be able to completely cut Ukraine off from communications.
