Besides the Patriot and SAMP-T systems, in the coming months, the US and its partners intend to provide Ukraine with dozens of tactical air defense systems, according to a joint statement by US President Joe Biden, Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Romanian President Klaus Iohannis, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

In a joint statement, the US, Germany, and Romania announced additional Patriot batteries for Ukraine; the Netherlands and other partners will provide components to support these batteries. Italy will contribute an additional SAMP-T system.

"We are working on a further announcement this year of additional strategic air defense systems for Ukraine," the statement said.

Additionally, in the coming months, the US and its partners intend to supply Ukraine with dozens of tactical air defense systems, including NASAMS, HAWK, IRIS T-SLM, IRIS T-SLS, and Gepard systems.

Several NATO members, including Canada, Norway, Spain, and the UK, will continue to play a crucial role in providing these systems, with many other supporters of Ukraine assisting them in this effort.

"For its part, the US will re-sequence planned deliveries of Foreign Military Sales of critical air defense interceptors in coordination with partners so they are delivered to Ukraine, providing Ukraine with hundreds of additional air defense interceptors over the next year," the statement added.

The signatories expressed gratitude to the coalition of over 50 countries that continue to provide security assistance to Ukraine, including the Immediate Action Initiative on Air Defense, which pledges over $1 billion for Ukraine's air defense. They also acknowledged the United Air and Missile Defense Coalition led jointly by Germany and France.

"We also welcome NATO’s work to support Ukraine’s efforts to develop a NATO-interoperable integrated air and missile defense architecture. Our message to Moscow and the world is clear: Our support for Ukraine is strong and unwavering," the statement concluded.

Today, on July 10, during the NATO summit in Washington, US President Joe Biden announced the transfer of an additional Patriot system to Ukraine and announced other deliveries to strengthen the country's air defense.
