Debris from Russian drones fell near metro in Kyiv
Fragments of a Russian drone were reported to have fallen in Kyiv on the morning of January 29. This occurred near one of the metro stations following an enemy airstrike on the capital, reports Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klitschko.
According to the mayor, this incident occurred in the Darnytskyi district.
He added that emergency services were dispatched to the site of the fallen fragments of the enemy aerial target.
"Fragments of the enemy drone fell near the metro station in the Darnytskyi district of the capital. All services are heading to the scene," Klitschko stated on his Telegram channel.
Later, he added that the fragments of the enemy drone in the Darnytskyi district damaged a fence and a building near the entrance to the Darnytskyi depot upon impact.
"All services are on-site. There is no fire at the moment, and no casualties have been reported," the capital's mayor said.
Shahed attack and explosion in Kyiv
During the night, Russian forces once again launched strike drones at Ukraine for another attack. An air alert was declared in several regions, and reports indicated the activation of air defense systems in some areas amidst the enemy drone assault.
By morning, a loud explosion was heard in Kyiv, which was strong enough. Before that, an air alert had been issued in the capital due to the threat of drone attacks.
Additionally, at 05:55, the Kyiv City Military Administration announced the cancellation of the air alert in the capital.
