Death toll rises in Kyiv as Russian drone attack injures 25

At least two people have been killed and another 25 injured as a result of Russian strikes on Kyiv on September 23, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko announced the figures.
"There are already two victims of the enemy's attack on the capital. One man died in hospital, while another was killed," the mayor wrote.
According to Klitschko, as of 1:06 p.m., at least 22 city residents had been injured.
According to the latest data, 16 injured people were receiving treatment in city hospitals.
At 01:40 p.m., Klitschko said the number of injured had risen to 25.
"Seventeen of them are in hospitals," he clarified.
The first consequences of the Russian strikes on Kyiv became known in the morning. In the Solomianskyi district, UAV debris fell between residential buildings.

The attack also caused a fire on the premises of a transport company. It was later reported that a drone fell onto a store building and that a UAV struck a nine-story non-residential building at the level of the fourth floor.

In the Holosiivskyi district, a fire was reported in warehouse facilities, while a UAV struck a gas station.
In addition, a drone fell onto a four-story business center, the roof of a non-residential building and the grounds of a transport infrastructure facility.

In the Darnytskyi district, a transport infrastructure facility was hit. The attack also caused the roof of a gas station to catch fire.
Initially, three people were reported injured, and all of them were hospitalized. Two of the wounded were in serious condition. The number of injured later rose to eight. One of those hospitalized in serious condition died in hospital.

The Russian UAV attack on Kyiv is ongoing. Residents of the capital have been urged to remain in safe places.
Earlier, RBC-Ukraine showed what the Ukrnafta gas station in Kyiv looked like after the Russian attack.
Ukrainian Railways also responded to reports about whether the capital's central railway station had been damaged.
