Death toll from Russian missile attack on Kyiv rises to 28
The death toll from the Russian terrorists' missile attack on Kyiv on December 29 has risen to 28 people, according to the Kyiv City Military Administration.
"Unfortunately, more bodies of the deceased from the missile strike are still being discovered. Rescuers have recovered another body from under the rubble," the statement sats.
As of now, there are confirmed reports of 28 fatalities as a result of the Russian rocket attack.
Kyiv shelling on December 29
Russian forces launched a massive attack on Ukraine on December 29, deploying around 160 missiles of various types, excluding Kalibrs. Over 30 enemy targets were reportedly shot down in the skies above Kyiv.
Initially, reports indicated three casualties. However, the number of fatalities started to rapidly increase. According to the latest previous information, the death toll stood at 27.
January 1 has been declared a day of mourning in Kyiv.
