Death toll climbs in Sumy: 83 injured in Russian attack

In Sumy, the number of victims of the April 13 rocket attack continues to grow. The number of wounded has risen sharply to 83, according to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Ihor Klymenko.
“21 people were killed. 83 people were injured, including 7 children. Everyone is being provided with medical care,” he said.
Emergency services continue to work at the scene.
Russian attack on Sumy
On the morning of April 13, Russian troops struck twice at the city of Sumy. The occupiers hit the city with rockets that hit the city center.
Almost immediately, it became known about the large number of dead. It is also known about heavy destruction. In particular, the building of the regional Center for Human Rights Protection was hit at the epicenter of the attack.
Initially, 21 people were reported dead and 20 injured. Later, the number of injured continued to grow - first to 34, then to 83. Before that, five wounded children were reported as a result of the Russian strike.
