Russian occupiers attacked Ukrainian cities with various types of missiles and strike drones overnight. An air raid alert was announced across the country. As a result of enemy attacks, there were damages and fires in Odesa and Kryvyi Rih. A woman was injured.

To prepare this material, information from the Telegram channel of the South Ukraine Defense Forces, Telegram of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Telegram of the Head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration Oleh Kiper, Telegram of the Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council Mykola Lukashuk, and Facebook of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine was used.

Attack on Ukraine

The attack on Ukraine included a total of 19 Shahed drones, 12 Kalibr missiles, and 2 Onyx missiles launched by Russian forces. Ukrainian air defense systems successfully destroyed all enemy strike drones, as well as 11 Kalibrs.

The majority of enemy targets were directed at Odesa and the region. All kamikaze drones (launched from the southeast direction, Primosrsko-Akhtarsk, Russia), 2 supersonic Onyxes (launched from the occupied Sevastopol area), and additional Kalibrs (launched from the Black Sea, areas of Feodosia and Novorossiysk) were aimed at the region.

The Russian military launched sea-based missiles with complex trajectories from various regions. In addition, a submarine from the Novorossiysk Bay was involved in the attack.

"Two Kalibrs were shot down over the Mykolaiv and Kirovohrad regions, the majority were downed in the sky over the Odesa region," the military added.

Explosions in Odesa and the region, damage

Odesa and the region were hit hard by the Russian forces. A series of explosions occurred there, starting around 00:15. The enemy directed Shaheds, Kalibrs, and Onyxes at the city and the region.

Local authorities reported on the work of air defense systems against enemy targets and called on citizens to stay in shelters. The alert in the Odesa region was canceled around 01:20.

In the morning, the South Ukraine Defense Forces, emergency services, and the Regional Military Administration reported the consequences of the enemy's attacks on the regional center and region.

  • The port infrastructure was hit by Onyx missiles, grain storage facilities destroyed;
  • The fire broke out in an uninhabited high-rise building in Odesa - the building of a hotel that has been closed for several years, but the fire was quickly extinguished;
  • Military sources clarified that the marine passenger terminal suffered significant damage;
  • There was damage to a warehouse building and one private house in the area;
  • A woman was injured due to the shockwave and was taken to the hospital.

Explosions in Kryvyi Rih and fire

In the city, explosions were first heard around 00:50, and there were subsequent explosions around 01:07. The Air Force had previously warned about the detection of Kalibr missiles heading toward Kryvyi Rih.

In the morning, local authorities reported that the defenders of the sky had shot down an enemy drone over Kryvyi Rih.
