Czech teenager escapes from parents to defend Ukraine in war
A 15-year-old boy from the city of Ostrava in Czechia ran away from home to go to Ukraine and defend the country against Russian invaders. He traveled through two countries and managed to reach the border, according to the border guard service in the Polish part of Silesia.
On January 10, a Czech teenager left home, telling his parents that he was going to school. However, he never showed up at school.
Instead, the 15-year-old boy independently made his way to the border with Ukraine to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine and support the country in the fight against Russian occupiers.
The parents reported the child's disappearance to the police, and law enforcement began searching for the teenager. The Czech police provided information about the boy to their Polish counterparts.
Based on the location of the boy's phone, the Polish police determined that he was in Przemyśl, Poland, near the border with Ukraine.
When the teenager fled home, he took his passport with him and managed to cross the Polish-Ukrainian border to fight against Russian aggressors.
However, his adventures came to an end. Due to international police cooperation, the brave teenager was stopped and returned to Polish territory, from where he was sent back home to Czechia
