Czech President outlines Putin's main goal in war against Ukraine following reelection
After being re-elected in the next so-called elections, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin may concentrate on the complete seizure of the occupied territories. In particular, in the Donbas, according to Czech President Petr Pavel.
"Russian President Vladimir Putin, after his expected re-election as head of state, will seek to achieve at least partial goals - full control over the occupied regions, especially Donbas," he says.
At the same time, Pavlo notes that the war in Ukraine will not end quickly, "because neither Russia nor Ukraine can achieve their goals."
"Logically, Ukraine seeks to regain full control over its territory within internationally recognized borders, which should be supported," he says.
So-called elections in Russia
In Russia, the so-called presidential elections are scheduled for March 2024. They will last for three days, from March 15 to 17.
Russian dictator Vladimir Putin will be able to remain in power until at least 2030. Moreover, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov has already said that Putin will be re-elected with 90% of the vote.
Recently, it became known that Boris Nadezhdin was denied registration as a candidate for the presidential election in Russia. Until recently, he was considered Putin's "main rival."
