Czech PM on Trump's Gaza proposal: 'Difficult to implement'

US President Donald Trump's proposal to take control of the Gaza Strip would be very difficult to implement. Not all of Trump’s statements should be taken literally, stated Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala, according to Radio Prague International.
Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala commented on US President Donald Trump's new proposal regarding the Gaza Strip at a press conference.
"I think that not all actions or statements by US President Trump, which of course we should take seriously, should be taken literally. Not all of these steps are feasible. And I think this is a step that will be very difficult to implement, just like, for example, some statements regarding Greenland," he said.
At the same time, according to the Prime Minister, the United States should play a key role in the settlement and stabilization of the situation in the Middle East.
Fiala emphasized that the key to solving the problems in the Middle East is weakening Iran. He also mentioned the necessity of considering Iran-Russia cooperation.
What did Trump say
Earlier, US President Donald Trump, during a press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, proposed that the United States take control of the Gaza Strip and develop the enclave.
He later clarified that the US could initiate one of the largest and most impressive projects in the Gaza Strip.
