U.S. President Donald Trump’s representatives Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner sampled Crimean Tatar cuisine while traveling to Kyiv by Ukrzaliznytsia train. A special onboard menu was prepared for the American delegation, according to Ukrzaliznytsia’s Telegram channel.
What dishes were on the menu
Instead of the standard menu, Witkoff and Kushner were served dishes representing the culinary traditions of Crimea. This gave the American representatives an opportunity to experience part of the Crimean Tatar cultural heritage during their journey.

According to the available information, the dishes included Bakhchysarai-style shashlik and a Crimean summer salad, among others. The menu for the special train was created based on dishes from a Crimean Tatar restaurant.
Ukrzaliznytsia noted that this was the first time the company had shared behind-the-scenes footage and the menu served on the special train carrying the American representatives.

It should be noted that Witkoff and Kushner arrived in Kyiv on September 6 after talks in Moscow. In the Ukrainian capital, they met with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and held talks on further steps toward ending the war and establishing peace.
