Crimea gas facility and Tyumen refinery in Russia hit in Ukrainian strikes

Overnight on July 26, Ukraine's Defense Forces struck several key Russian military targets. The General Staff also confirmed a successful strike on the Tyumen oil refinery.
Chornomornaftogaz facility hit
One of the targets was a Chornomornaftogaz facility near Vnukove in Russian-occupied Crimea. The General Staff confirmed that the target was successfully struck.
Since occupying the peninsula, Russia has used seized Chornomornaftogaz facilities to extract, store, and transport natural gas and petroleum products. The infrastructure also supports the fuel and energy needs of Russian forces stationed in Crimea.
Drone relay station and military logistics targeted
Ukrainian forces also struck a ground-based relay station used to control Geran and Gerbera attack drones near Chornomorske.
According to the General Staff, such relay stations extend the drones' operational range while improving communication reliability and flight control for the systems Russia uses to attack Ukraine.
A road bridge near Vyselky in the Donetsk region, used by Russian forces for military logistics, was also hit.
In addition, Ukraine's Defense Forces struck a Russian drone storage facility near Chervonopopivka and an area where Russian troops were concentrated near Purdivka in the Luhansk region.
Strike on Tyumen oil refinery confirmed
The General Staff also provided an update on an earlier operation, confirming that the Tyumen oil refinery, struck by Ukrainian forces on July 25, had been successfully hit.
The Tyumen refinery is one of the key oil-processing facilities in Western Siberia, with an annual refining capacity of about 7 million metric tons of crude oil.
It produces gasoline, diesel fuel, jet fuel, fuel oil, and other petroleum products that, according to the General Staff, are used in part to supply Russia's military-industrial complex and armed forces.
As previously reported, on the night of July 25, Ukraine's Defense Forces carried out a series of long-range strikes against military and logistics facilities across Russia.
According to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the targets included the Tyumen oil refinery, a logistics facility in Yekaterinburg, a fuel storage depot in Rostov-on-Don, as well as vessels and a warship in the Caspian Sea.
