The Armed Forces of Ukraine are succeeding in advancing after breaking through the first line of defense of the Russians in some regions of the South. However, this information is being reported cautiously to preserve the lives of our defenders, according to the statement from the Head of the United Coordinating Press Center of Security and Defense Forces of the South of Ukraine, Natalia Humeniuk.

"Yes. But this work is quite complex. This is only the first stage when the defense line is breached. After that, it is necessary to consolidate those sections and ensure the safety of the units that made the breakthrough. Therefore, news here may be somewhat delayed," said Humeniuk, answering whether the Ukrainian Armed Forces can develop successes after breaking through the first line of the enemy's defense in certain sections of the front.

However, she emphasized that it's important to remember that this involves significant and challenging work.

According to Humeniuk, progress is being made, but it is being reported cautiously to preserve the lives of our defenders.

The situation in the South

Previously, Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Hanna Maliar reported that Ukrainian military forces managed to break through the first line of the occupiers' defense in some southern sections. Currently, they have reached the intermediate line.

"Our forces in the South have, in some places, broken through the first line of defense and reached the intermediate line. There they encounter the fact that the enemy has constructed engineering fortifications on the main key heights. This undoubtedly complicates the movement of our troops and the combat actions themselves," she said.

Maliar noted that the occupiers are currently shifting their reserves to the southern and eastern directions. Mostly, these are professional soldiers.
