A crisis is unfolding in the construction sector of Russia, with its effects being felt in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, reports the National Resistance Center (NRC).

Due to the crisis, the Russian authorities have halted subsidized mortgages and removed control over interest rates. As a result, developers have started halting construction projects.

"Construction of residential buildings is already being stopped in the temporarily occupied territories of Crimea and eastern Ukraine. At the same time, builders brought from other regions to the east are not being allowed to leave their accommodation (hostels)," the report states.

Situation in the occupied territories

It has recently become known that Russia's plan to train new personnel for the occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant through short courses lasting only a few months. This decision comes as a result of a staff shortage in the temporarily occupied territories.

Following an attack by the Defense Forces, the Russians have strengthened their counterintelligence measures in the occupied city of Berdiansk in the Zaporizhzhia region.

In addition, the enemy has devised a new insidious method of forced passportization for residents of the occupied territories.
