Combined attack on Rivne region: one injured, damage reported

On the night of June 9, Russia carried out a combined attack on the Rivne region. As a result of the strikes, at least one person was injured, according to the head of the Rivne Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Koval.
"A very difficult night for the Rivne region. Our region suffered a powerful airstrike by Russian forces. According to preliminary information, one civilian was injured," Koval reported.
The head of the regional administration thanked the air defense forces for destroying a large number of Russian targets.
He promised to provide more details on the consequences of the night attack later. Koval added that the Defense Forces and other emergency services are working at the impact sites.
Attack on Ukraine, June 9
As a reminder, in the early hours of June 9, a large-scale air raid alert was declared across Ukraine due to a Russian attack. Initially, Russian forces launched combat drones.
In Kyiv and the surrounding region, air defense systems were activated, and explosions were heard. The head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Tymur Tkachenko, reported that an office building in the capital was damaged.
Explosions were also heard in Rivne as a result of a drone strike. Later, the Air Force reported that Russia had launched cruise missiles from the Bryansk region, though it was unclear from what platform. After that, more explosions were reported in Rivne.
