Civilians wounded as Russian shelling hits pharmacy in Ukraine's Kostiantynivka

On June 26, Russian forces shelled Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region. As a result, a pharmacy building was damaged, and there were civilian casualties, according to Serhii Horbunov, head of the Kostiantynivka City Military Administration.
"Around 12:00 PM (Kyiv time - ed.) today, the city of Kostiantynivka came under enemy fire using tube artillery. As a result of this barbaric shelling, two civilians who were inside a pharmacy were injured," the statement reads.
The victims received first aid on site and were later hospitalized. The pharmacy’s facade was damaged, though the interior was not affected.
"This attack is yet another act of aggression against the civilian population. We urge all residents to take care of themselves and their loved ones. Do not ignore the threat — evacuate to safer regions in a timely manner," Horbunov urged.

Shelling of Kostiantynivka
Kostiantynivka is a city in the Kramatorsk district of Donetsk region and serves as the administrative center of the Kostiantynivka urban community. In 2014, it was briefly occupied by the DPR pro-Russian terrorist group but was liberated in the summer of the same year.
Russian forces have targeted the city because of its strategic importance. They regularly shell Kostiantynivka. Recently, Russia carried out an airstrike on a residential building, resulting in a fatality. The Donetsk Regional Military Administration notes that due to enemy attacks, Kostiantynivka is currently on the brink of a humanitarian catastrophe.
