When you don't have enough time in the morning for a pie, a quick microwave dessert recipe comes to the rescue, promising an incredibly chocolatey, flavorful, and delicious treat, according to Shuba.

In just 15 minutes, you can indulge in chocolate-coffee mug cakes. It's the perfect dessert for breakfast or a sweet snack when guests are on their way, and the best part is, you don't even need scales – just a regular spoon will do.

Ingredients:

  • 100g wheat flour
  • 30g cocoa powder
  • 10g instant coffee
  • 40g sugar
  • 50ml milk
  • 1 chicken egg
  • 50g heavy cream
  • 5g vanilla sugar
  • 5g baking powder
  • 10g powdered sugar

Directions:

Start by sifting flour and adding cocoa, instant coffee, vanilla sugar, baking powder, and melted butter (reserve 10g for greasing the cups).

Next, beat the egg with sugar until light and fluffy, then add it to the batter along with milk. Mix until smooth; the consistency should resemble thick sour cream.

Grease two 150ml cups with butter and pour the batter up to 2/3 of their volume.

Bake in the microwave for 2-3 minutes at maximum power. Check the readiness of the cakes with a toothpick – it should come out dry from the batter.

Finally, dust the chocolate-coffee mug cakes with powdered sugar.
