Russia is planning to build a port and a railway in occupied Crimea. Chinese companies are expected to be involved in the construction, according to Ukraine's Foreign Intelligence Service.

Head of the occupying administration of Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov, decided to involve Chinese businesses in the construction of transport infrastructure on the peninsula.

During the latest meeting, Aksyonov announced preliminary agreements regarding Kerch seaport (actively used by Russia for gray exports) and the infrastructure of Lake Donuzlav (location of a Russian Navy base).

The occupation authorities plan to invite potential Chinese builders to visit Crimea. Among them is China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC), one of the largest companies specializing in the construction of railways and transport highways.

The total amount of capital is estimated at $10 billion.

Earlier, The Economist reported that China has become the main supplier for Russia’s war machine. Beijing may have transferred lethal weapons to Moscow.

According to the spokesperson of the Foreign Intelligence Service, Russia plans to produce 2 million FPV drones with Chinese parts this year. These drones will be deployed in the war against Ukraine.
