Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, China has been supplying Russia with helicopters, drones, sights, and components for military production, according to The Telegraph.

Investigations by the publication suggest that Chinese sub-sanctioned companies involved in the production of armored vehicles, missile systems, and strategic bombers were receiving components from China.

In addition, Chinese firms supplied Russia with 1000 drones, six helicopters, optical sights, products made from titanium alloys for weapon production, as well as aircraft components, including military ones.

Among the recipients of these goods were the Russian National Guard (Rosgvardia), the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, Rostec, Tupolev company, and other Russian entities.

Cooperation between Russia and China

While China officially maintains a position of neutrality regarding the war in Ukraine, media outlets have repeatedly reported on its military cooperation with Russia. In July 2022, for example, the Wall Street Journal reported that China's microchip exports to Russia had doubled in the first five months of the year, and exports of aluminum oxide, which is necessary for producing metallic aluminum and manufacturing weapons, had increased 400 times.

In the same year, trade between China and Russia is expected to exceed $200 billion, setting a record in their cooperation. Overall, the export of potential military goods to China has increased by more than three times in 12 months compared to the previous period.
