Center for Countering Disinformation mocks Putin’s proposal for a new truce

Russian President Vladimir Putin is offering Ukraine a temporary truce during the celebration of Victory Day because he does not trust his own air defense systems and is afraid for the parade, according to the Telegram channel of the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD), Andriy Kovalenko.
"It's so comical that Putin distrusts Russian air defense to such an extent that he's afraid for his own May 9 parade, and that many might not even show up for it. At the same time, Putin isn’t ceasing fire because he wants to keep fighting. What a sick mind he has," Kovalenko said.
Russian truces
Yesterday, April 28, the Russian President announced a so-called truce in the war against Ukraine from May 8 to 11, citing "humanitarian reasons." At the same time, the Kremlin began threatening that Russian terrorists would retaliate" if Ukraine does not comply with the so-called truce.
However, this is not the first such truce in the war. Previously, Russia also initiated one during the Easter holidays, but ultimately continued to attack Ukrainian military positions at the front, as well as towns, villages, and civilians.
Before that, Russia also violated the so-called energy truce, during which it kept launching aerial attacks against Ukraine.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy responded to Putin’s announcement of a truce during the celebration of Victory Day.
