Ceasefire conditions unlikely before spring, Zelenskyy's top aide says

According to him, the resumption of the negotiation process is expected after Russia's parliamentary elections and several weeks before the US midterm elections.
A new round of consultations could begin with a visit to Kyiv by US representatives Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.
"Negotiations will sooner or later come to something. You cannot fight your whole life," the head of the Presidential Office stressed.
Budanov said Russia is likely to attempt to strike Ukrainian infrastructure as part of a new winter campaign of attacks. It would be the fourth such campaign since the start of the full-scale invasion.
Earlier, the Russian president said that Russia and Ukraine should negotiate an end to the war on their own. According to him, other countries should only provide assistance.
Putin also claimed that Russia is allegedly avoiding strikes on the Ukrainian authorities because Moscow needs negotiators.
In addition, Russia's representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, said the Kremlin is ready to continue the war if Ukraine does not recognize the occupied territories and agree to Moscow's demands.
