Carpathian most famous lake overflows and freezes: Stunning photos revealed
In one of the most popular national parks in Zakarpattia, the full-flowing Synevyr Lake is covered with ice. A few days before, snow had been melting on the nearby mountain slopes, according to the Synevyr National Nature Park.
Lake Synevyr is recognized as one of the Seven Wonders of Ukraine. Its other name is the Sea Eye of the Carpathians. Synevyr Lake is the largest lake of natural origin in the Ukrainian Carpathians (5 hectares), at an altitude of 989 meters above sea level.
In winter, the eco-trail around the lake is cleaned by park employees to make it easy for tourists to walk. Guided tours are held around the area and legends related to the reservoir are told.
The park has a brown bear rehabilitation center, which currently houses 31 bears. There are also many interesting tourist attractions. These include Lake Ozirce or Dyke Lake, which has great environmental value, the Museum of Forestry and Rafting on the Chorna River, the sphagnum oligotrophic bog of Hlukhania, and other places.

The location creates conditions for active recreation of visitors: pavilions, places for bonfires, recreational facilities, mountain trails on hiking routes, photo zones, observation decks, and road repairs are being built.
"We would like to remind you once again that it is forbidden to travel in certain areas of the park outside of public roads by car, ATVs, motorcycles, or other motor vehicles. Moreover, there is a categorical ban on jeeping," the National Nature Park emphasizes.
