Car crashes into crowd in Los Angeles: Dozens injured

On the morning of Saturday, July 19, an unidentified vehicle drove into a crowd of people in Los Angeles, USA. Dozens of people were injured in the accident, CNN and The Guardian report.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the accident took place in East Hollywood (a neighborhood in the central part of the city) on Santa Monica Boulevard.
Due to the accident, at least 28 people were injured. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, three of the victims were taken to the hospital in critical condition, six in serious condition, and the remaining 19 are in fair condition.
Patient transportation was coordinated by the fire department. According to the agency, 124 firefighters responded to the scene.
"Video of the incident showed multiple injured people on the street and sidewalk being treated for their injuries. Some were seen being taken away on stretchers as police cordoned off the area," CNN writes.
The media outlet has reached out to the Los Angeles Police Department for additional information.
Other accidents
On May 26 in Liverpool (UK), a car drove into a crowd of Liverpool FC fans during a parade celebrating their Premier League victory. Several people were injured at that time.
Furthermore, on July 7 in the German city of Passau, a car also crashed into a group of people. At least five people were injured, including the 38-year-old wife of the driver and his 5-year-old daughter.
