Canada will provide over $15 million to Ukraine. The funds will be used to restore energy infrastructure damaged by Russian shelling, states Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

According to Trudeau, Canada will support Ukraine in replacing damaged energy equipment and infrastructure.

The aid package includes:

  • support for vulnerable children and youth at risk and reintegration of displaced children returning to Ukraine by improving child protection services and family-based care;
  • improve access to justice for victims of war crimes;
  • raise awareness of families and civil society about the process of searching for missing persons;
  • support male survivors of conflict-related sexual violence, including prisoners of war.

In addition, about $12 million will be allocated for demining the territory of Ukraine and financing the IMF's work to promote economic reforms in Ukraine.
