Ukraine is constantly working on the destruction of enemy equipment and Russian air defense located in the occupied territories, states Vasyl Maliuk, Head of the Security Service of Ukraine.

In early June, it became known that Russia had transferred elements of a new S-500 anti-aircraft missile system to Crimea. This is likely to be a trial use of the system.

The S-500 ("Prometheus") is called Russia's newest long-range air defense system. According to the Russians themselves, the anti-aircraft system should complement previous versions, such as the S-400.

According to Maliuk, Ukraine is monitoring all movements of Russian equipment in Crimea. However, "everything has its time".

"Everything has its time, we are constantly working, including on enemy air defense systems. Of course, there will be many different surprises ahead," said Maliuk.

He also noted that for security reasons, he said he would not disclose all the details.

"There are a lot of plans, and they are based on the analysis of the situation on the battlefield. But I will not disclose them," the SSU head emphasized.

The head of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov said that the Russians had brought elements of the S-500 anti-aircraft missile system to the occupied Crimea.

Later, the spokesperson for the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Illia Yevlash, said that Ukraine did not record the use of S-500 air defense systems by the Russians.
