A bus carrying 54 people overturned near the town of Röbel in Germany. Among the passengers were Ukrainian citizens, according to NDR.

A FlixBus carrying 54 passengers and two drivers was en route from Copenhagen to Vienna when it overturned and veered into a ditch at around 2:30 a.m.

According to police, 31 people were injured — 25 sustained minor injuries and six were seriously hurt. One person was trapped inside the vehicle and was rescued after two hours. The man suffered life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to a hospital in Berlin.

According to police, those with minor injuries were taken to eight nearby hospitals. The remaining passengers were transported to Röbel.

FlixBus has confirmed the serious accident and expressed condolences to the injured and their families.

According to both police and FlixBus, the passengers included citizens of 23 countries, including Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Poland, Ukraine, France, Syria, China, Australia, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Romania, Türkiye, India, Georgia, Bangladesh, Italy, Mexico, Canada, and Japan.

Crash in Romania

On June 30, a bus carrying 60 Ukrainian citizens collided with a minibus in Romania.

As a result of the accident, five people were injured and one woman was killed.
