Kursk operation

On 6 August, Ukrainian forces launched an offensive operation in the Kursk region. Ukraine has taken control of hundreds of settlements and now controls tens of square kilometers.

At present, the Ukrainian Armed Forces' offensive has "quietened," while the Russians have instead launched offensive actions. The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, emphasized that the Kursk operation is proceeding according to plan.

According to analysts from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), Russia’s counterattack in the Kursk region has achieved only limited success, while Ukrainian forces continue to advance.
