UK Foreign Secretary publicly rebukes Russian FM, stating they're not winning

Russia is losing the war against Ukraine, but the inner circle of Russian leader Vladimir Putin is afraid to tell him the truth, states UK Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband.
The head of British diplomacy publicly criticized his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov, during a meeting of G20 foreign ministers in the US.
During the session in Atlanta, the British diplomat addressed Lavrov directly. He called Russia an aggressor and recalled the war crimes committed by Russian military forces against the civilian population of Ukraine.
“Let’s talk about what happened at Dnipro railway yesterday. Only yesterday your drones attacked and killed 15 people. And there are countless examples like this of you killing innocent civilians throughout this war. We all know you are the aggressor," Miliband emphasized.
Furthermore, Miliband stated that Russia has failed to achieve victory in the war against Ukraine due to Ukrainian resistance and the support of international partners.
The British diplomat reminded that Putin considered Ukraine an easy target but made a fatal miscalculation.
"But you are not winning this war. Thanks to the courage of the Ukrainian people and the solidarity of countries round this table, you are not winning. If you had the courage to tell the truth and to do what is right, you would tell Putin that he is not winning this war and will not win," the British Foreign Secretary stated, addressing Lavrov.
The traditional group photo at the G20 summit was canceled due to Sergey Lavrov.
This occurred after the Russian diplomat threatened an escalation of the war against Ukraine.
