Botox scandal: Why using it without proper testing may pose danger
An increasing number of people are turning to cosmetic procedures for skin rejuvenation, with Botox being one of the most popular options. However, recent statements from experts highlight serious risks associated with Botox use, especially when the procedure is performed by uncertified professionals or when low-quality products are used, reports The Sun.
Why using Botox is dangerous
Maria Marlow, a skincare and health expert, urges caution, emphasizing that Botox is essentially a toxin for the skin. According to her, even if the procedure is carried out in a beauty salon, without proper verification of the professionals and a guarantee of the quality of the products, botox can lead to serious side effects such as poisoning and skin damage.
Marlow points out that using Botox is particularly dangerous for younger individuals, as it can lead to premature skin aging. Her recommendation is to avoid these procedures until real skin problems or signs of aging appear.
"I think there's so many other ways that if we want to keep our skin looking, you know, a certain way. I think there's so many other ways to do it that don't involve injecting poison into our face," she said.
Each year, Botox grows in popularity, but experts advise approaching this procedure with caution. Choosing the right professional and checking the quality of the product are crucial steps to avoid unpleasant consequences and maintain skin health.
The dermatologist also discussed whether wrinkle creams really work.
