The threat to the national security of the United States of America is a potential, not an active capability, says U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.

"This is not an active capability, but it is potential one that we're taking very, very seriously, and I would expect that we'll have more to say soon, in fact, very soon, so stay tuned for that," the state secretary said.

He added that the U.S. is already discussing this issue with allies and partners.

According to Blinken, the security of the United States and its people is at the center of attention of President Joe Biden, as he thinks about it first.

Threat to U.S. national security

It will be recalled that yesterday, February 14, the US House of Representatives warned of a serious threat to the country's national security.

Later, this information was confirmed by the national security adviser of the US president, Jake Sullivan.

According to CNN, such a threat to U.S. national security may be connected with Russia.

Western media sources report that the warning is related to Russia's nuclear potential in space and satellites.
