Biden's son disagrees with accusations of tax evasion
In a federal court on Thursday, President Biden's son, Hunter Biden, faced charges of tax evasion. He pleaded not guilty, according to NBC News .
According to a source, the amount of federal taxes unpaid is approximately 1.4 million dollars.
Biden was charged just over a month after he was charged with tax evasion in the Central District of California.
Prosecutors claimed that Biden, who had spoken extensively about his struggles with addiction, spent these funds on drugs, prostitutes, luxury hotels, and rental properties, exotic cars, clothing, and other personal items from 2016 through October 2020.
President Biden's son could face up to 17 years in prison.
Hunter Biden case
In June, the son of the U.S. President, Hunter Biden, pleaded guilty to two tax offenses and reached a plea deal with federal prosecutors on charges of committing a criminal offense with the use of a firearm.
We previously reported that new charges of tax evasion were brought against Hunter Biden on nine counts.
