Biden's request to support Ukraine and Israel crucial for U.S. security - Sullivan
The request made by the President of the United States Joe Biden for funding assistance to Ukraine and Israel plays a crucial role in the security of Americans, according to White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, The Associated Press reports.
According to Sullivan, Russia’s ongoing invasion of Ukraine and Hamas’ attack on Israel represent a "global inflection point."
“This budget request is critical to advancing America’s national security and ensuring the safety of the American people,” Sullivan said.
Biden's request
Today, on October 20, U.S. President Joe Biden has requested Congress to allocate nearly $105 billion in funding to support Ukraine and Israel.
Of this amount, the president aims to allocate $61 billion to aid Ukraine.
The request also includes funds to secure the U.S.-Mexico border.
