In early 2024, a leading Parkinson's specialist met with US President Joe Biden's doctor at the White House, reports CNN.

According to visit logs, Dr. Kevin Cannard has visited the White House three times this year: on January 17 for a meeting with Biden's doctor, Kevin O'Connor, and with another staffer on January 26 and March 28.

In total, Kennard has been to the White House at least 8 times over the past year, since July 2023.

But only at the meeting on January 17 was Biden's doctor listed as the person who was visited. The circumstances of the meeting between Kennard and O'Connor are unknown.

On Monday evening, Biden's doctor took the unusual step of publishing a letter outlining some of the details of Cannard's visits to the White House after days of speculation about the president's health. In the letter, he wrote that “Biden has not seen a neurologist outside of his annual physical.”

O'Connor described Cannard as a “neurological specialist that examined President Biden for each of his annual physicals” and noted that the specialist's findings were included whenever he published the results of the president's physical.

In turn, White House officials deny speculation about Biden's health and note that the administration is visited by a wide range of specialists to help thousands of military personnel working in the territory.

Biden's withdrawal from the election race

The US presidential election will be held on November 5, 2024. However, the current US President Joe, amid unsuccessful debates against Republican Donald Trump and pressure from the Democrats, refused to continue the fight.

The media reported that the Democrats were frightened by Biden's age and condition. In particular, he repeatedly publicly confused facts, and at the NATO summit he introduced Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, accidentally calling him the Russian leader “Vladimir Putin.”

After dropping out of the race, Biden nominated US Vice President Kamala Harris to replace him. As of today, the margin of victory between her and Trump is only 1%.
