US President Joe Biden convened an emergency meeting regarding the situation in Israel. Today, Iran launched more than 500 ballistic missiles at Israel.

According to Reuters, US President Joe Biden held an urgent meeting with Vice President Kamala Harris and their national security advisors.

During the meeting, they discussed Iran’s attack on Israel, which had already occurred at that time.

Following the meeting, Biden directed the US military to help Israel defend itself against Iranian attacks and to intercept missiles.

President Biden and Vice President Harris are monitoring Iran's attack on Israel from the White House Situation Room, according to a statement from the White House National Security Council spokesperson.

What preceded

Today, on October 1, Israeli forces entered Lebanese territory as part of an operation against Hezbollah. This operation targeted terrorist infrastructure in southern Lebanon that posed a threat to Israel.

Meanwhile, in the evening, Iran launched missiles from its territory toward Israel. It is already known that around 500 ballistic missiles have been fired.
