Biden was set to visit Rome and the Vatican, with scheduled talks with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and the Pope. Biden also planned to hold his final meeting with Zelenskyy.
Biden's visit to Italy was canceled just a few hours before departure due to massive wildfires in California.
