US President Joe Biden will deliver two major speeches in the final days of his presidency. He plans to reflect on his 50-year career, NBC News inform.

According to NBC News sources, Biden's first speech will focus on foreign policy. It will take place after January 12, when he returns from Italy.

Biden is expected to emphasize the need for the US to support global alliances, highlighting NATO expansion, building relations in the Indo-Pacific region, and military and financial aid to Ukraine following Russia's full-scale invasion.

His second speech will focus on his work in the White House and public service. It will essentially be a farewell address to the American people.

NBC News believes that the traditional farewell address will resemble those of Biden's predecessors — George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and Barack Obama.

According to sources, Biden’s speeches are still in development, but his team has already outlined the plan and topics.

Recall that the inauguration of newly elected President Donald Trump will take place on January 20.

Washington is already on heightened alert, as three major events are scheduled in the next two weeks. Additionally, security measures have been increased following terrorist attacks in New Orleans and Las Vegas on New Year’s Day. More details on this can be found in the RBC-Ukraine article.
