Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum robbery (USA)
In 1990, one of the most significant cultural crimes took place in Boston. Two criminals, disguised as police officers, entered the museum and stole 13 irreplaceable items, including works by renowned artists like Rembrandt and Vermeer. The value of the stolen art is estimated at over $300 million.
This case became one of the most mysterious in criminal history. For decades, neither the robbers nor the stolen exhibits have been found. The museum has still not been able to recover its collection, and the case remains unsolved. International investigations yielded no results, and the crime became a myth in the art world.
Harry Winston Jewelry robbery (France)
In 2009, one of the most unusual robberies took place in Paris. Four women, dressed in stylish dresses, entered the Harry Winston jewelry store.
