Consuming diverse, and sometimes fatty, food, especially in combination with a significant amount of alcohol, poses some threats to the stomach. To alleviate tension and soothe the stomach, the first courses can be beneficial. Moreover, some soups can truly serve as a remedy for a hangover.

While preparing the material the following sources were used: Shuba, Cookpad.

Doctors claim that after a lively celebration, soup not only helps alleviate a hangover but also restores a person to a normal state. A hot first course provides a feeling of satiety without heaviness in the stomach, warms well, and helps the body "switch on."

Chicken soup:

  • Chicken thighs or drumsticks - 500 g

  • Onion - 1

  • Carrot – 1

  • Potatoes - 3-4

  • Celery

  • Greens

  • Salt, pepper - to taste

Pour cold water over the chicken and place it on the heat. After boiling, remove the foam and let it simmer for half an hour. Then remove and let it cool.

Finely chop and sauté the onion and carrot in oil for about 5 minutes. Then, add them to the broth. Add salt, pepper, and celery.

Peel and dice the potatoes, and add them to the broth. Cut the chicken meat and add it to the pot.

If desired, add noodles or 100 g of rice to the broth; it aids the stomach.

Let all the ingredients cook for 15-20 minutes. Serve on the table with finely chopped greens.

Spicy bean soup:

  • Beans - 1 cup

  • Broth - 1.5 liters

  • Carrot - 1

  • Tomatoes - 3

  • Garlic - 2 cloves

  • Onion - 1

  • Greens - a bunch

  • Red hot pepper, salt

  • Lentils – 3 tbsp

Soak the beans in advance for a few hours, then drain the water, add fresh water, and boil until half-cooked. Canned beans can also be used.

Finely chop the onion and garlic, and sauté them in oil for a couple of minutes. Slice the carrot and add it to the onion and garlic. Peel the tomatoes, grate them, and add to the pan. Add hot pepper and simmer for 3-5 minutes on medium heat.

Then add the pre-cooked or canned beans and pour in the broth. The broth can be chicken, bone, or vegetable.

Let the soup boil, and add lentils. Cook until ready for 20 minutes. Add salt and spices. A few minutes before it's done, add chopped greens.

Czech garlic soup:

  • Broth - 1.5 liters

  • Potatoes - 500 g

  • Sour cream - 20 g

  • Garlic - 10 cloves

  • Egg - 1

  • Cilantro

  • Cumin, pepper, salt

Peel and dice the potatoes. Slice half of the garlic. Dry-roast cumin in a dry skillet.

Add sour cream, garlic, and potatoes to the cumin. Sauté everything lightly and pour in the broth.

Bring the soup to a boil and cook for 20 minutes. Squeeze the remaining garlic into the pot through a press.

Beat one egg in a cup of hot soup and pour it into the pot. Add salt, and pepper, and bring to a boil.

Serve on the table with finely chopped greens.

Pea soup:

  • Water - 1.5 liters

  • Frozen peas - 250 g

  • Potatoes - 3

  • Onion - 1

  • Garlic - 1 clove

  • Sour cream - 30 g

  • Cream - 100 ml

  • Salt, pepper

Bring water to a boil in a pot, add peeled and diced potatoes. Boil for 10 minutes.

Melt butter in a pan, sauté finely chopped onion in it. Add the onion to the pot.

Then add peas and simmer on medium heat for another 10 minutes. Add salt and pepper.

Pour cream into the soup, add chopped garlic. Bring to a boil and remove from heat.
