Belgorod region population relocated due to Ukrainian troops' activity
The administration of Russia's Belgorod region has announced the relocation of residents from the Krasnoyaruzhsky district due to activity by the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF), according to Belgorod region governor Vyacheslav Gladkov.
"We are having a troubling morning," the governor wrote.
According to Gladkov, UAF activity has been detected along the border of the Krasnoyaruzhsky district.
"To ensure the safety and well-being of our population, we are beginning to relocate people living in the Krasnoyaruzhsky district to safer locations," Gladkov announced.
War near Russia
On August 6, the UAF launched an operation in the border areas of the Kursk region, advancing tens of kilometers into enemy territory. There were also reports of clashes at the Belgorod region border. On August 11, Russian military bloggers reported an attack by a Ukrainian unit on the border village of Kolotilovka in the Krasnoyaruzhsky district.
Recently, a counter-terrorism operation regime was introduced in three Russian regions: Bryansk, Kursk, and Belgorod.
