Today, February 24, Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo announced the opening of Development Agency Offices in Kyiv and Kharkiv, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Alexander De Croo announced that the agencies will focus on the restoration of Ukraine and will begin operations as early as next week. The office will also be in Kharkiv.

"Our work in the restoration of Ukraine is long-term. We will do everything to ensure it happens as soon as possible," the official noted.

The Belgian Prime Minister added that it is Russia that will pay for the restoration, as it continues to destroy Ukrainian territory. He also thanked the EU for its work on confiscating frozen Russian assets. Together with the European Commission, they are working on these decisions and will take additional steps next week to implement them.

On Saturday, February 24, the heads of government of Canada, Belgium, and Italy, as well as the President of the European Commission, arrived in Kyiv. Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni visited a press conference in Hostomel, from where the Russians planned to launch an attack on Kyiv. The city has become a symbol of Ukrainian national dignity and a symbol of Moscow's failure.
