Brooklyn Beckham, the eldest son of David and Victoria Beckham, has found himself at the heart of a high-profile family conflict that has gone far beyond social media. Following his public statement about strained relations with his parents, he unexpectedly received support from Meghan Markle, according to Express.
Why Meghan Markle stepped in
According to sources, the Duchess of Sussex saw echoes of her own conflict with the royal family in Brooklyn’s situation and decided to take on the role of an informal mentor.
"Meghan really sees herself in Brooklyn and, since getting to know him over the past few months, she feels he's been misunderstood in the same way she and Harry were," an insider said.
The source added that public reactions affected the duchess deeply.
" Witnessing all the backlash he received following his statement last week really struck a nerve and triggered Meghan," the insider continued.
According to sources, Meghan immediately reached out to Brooklyn and offered him support not only from herself but also from Prince Harry.

"She immediately reached out to offer her and Harry's support and advised Brooklyn to ensure he puts his mental health first," a source said.
At the same time, Markle reportedly hinted that his story should be shared not through emotional posts, but in a more controlled format.
"She also gently pushed the idea of him telling his side of the story properly, not on social media but through a proper sit-down interview with Oprah," the insider added.
According to the source, Meghan believes Brooklyn should be the one shaping the narrative.
"She thinks he needs to set the narrative, rather than his parents," the insider concluded.

Family scandal, which shook the Beckham empire
Brooklyn’s public statement only confirmed rumors of a long-standing conflict within the family that had been circulating for months. The spotlight also fell on his relationship with his wife, Nicola Peltz.
Among the allegations is the 2022 wedding incident, where Victoria Beckham was criticized for allegedly stealing the couple’s first dance, as well as for an inappropriate dance with her son.

Separate mentions were made of disputes over Nicola’s wedding dress and Brooklyn’s statements about financial and legal conflicts with his parents.
The situation quickly became a global headline and sparked widespread media discussion.
Why Oprah
Insiders say the choice of Oprah Winfrey as a potential interviewer was no coincidence – Meghan trusts her completely.
"Meghan's spoken very warmly about Oprah and told Brooklyn that she is not only incredibly trustworthy but she's extremely nurturing," an insider said.
According to the source, Markle believes Oprah has the power to change public perception of the situation.
"Oprah will ensure that she does everything in her power to turn the tide and win the public round for him after all this hate and criticism," the insider added.

According to sources, Meghan is not insisting on an immediate public appearance.
"Meghan even floated the idea of a private dinner to break the ice. Something low-key, away from cameras," an insider said.
The source added that the duchess is acting with maximum caution.
"Meghan's been acting like a mentor. She is guiding him through what the next step could look like, without pushing him," the insider noted.
What decision will Brooklyn make
Brooklyn himself, according to those close to him, is not rushing into any public statements and is trying to carefully weigh all risks.
"Understandably, Brooklyn's feeling a lot of mixed emotions right now," an insider said.
According to the source, Beckham's son wants to take a pause.

"He's told Meghan he needs time to digest it all and discuss next steps with Nicola without rushing into anything," the source added.
However, he has not ruled out the possibility of meeting with Oprah.
"He said he'd be willing to meet Oprah to at least talk about it and see where the land lies, once everything has calmed down a bit," the source concluded.
