Ukrainian troops continue to defend in the Pokrovsk direction, while the Ukrainian Armed Forces have carried out a series of successful strikes deep inside Russian territory, according to the Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi.

Situation near Pokrovsk

Syrskyi noted that the Pokrovsk direction remains the main focus of Russia’s offensive. Therefore, the Ukrainian command pays special attention to ensuring troops in this area have everything they need, while also working to strengthen logistics routes.

In Pokrovsk and its outskirts, Russian forces continue to suffer heavy losses, both in manpower and equipment.

"The assault groups of the occupants and areas of their concentration are being detected and destroyed," the general said.

Counteroffensive operation

Syrskyi reported that Ukrainian forces continue active operations in the Ocheretyne direction. This forces Russian troops to disperse their units, preventing them from concentrating all their efforts around Pokrovsk.

"In total, 189 square kilometers have been liberated since the start of the operation, and another 257.7 square kilometers have been cleared of enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups," Syrskyi added.

Situation in the Zaporizhzhia region

Syrskyi also said that in the Huliaipole and Orikhiv directions, Russian forces continue attempts to wear down Ukrainian defenders with heavy shelling and assaults.

Ukrainian troops are blocking and shelling enemy positions near the villages of Yablukove, Vesele, and Solodke.

He added that Ukrainian forces continue to search for and eliminate Russian sabotage groups trying to infiltrate Ukrainian defenses.

"Over the past day alone, in the area of responsibility of the Southern Group of Forces, the enemy lost 239 personnel killed and wounded, as well as 43 pieces of military equipment," the general reported.

Strikes on Russia

Syrskyi stressed that Ukraine is increasing its strikes on targets inside Russia and in temporarily occupied territories.

"Since the beginning of November, at the strategic level (Deep Strike), 33 enemy targets have been successfully hit, and at the operational level (Middle Strike), 41 targets. For complex strikes, Ukraine uses domestically developed long-range systems such as Flamingo, Bars, and Liutyi," he said.

Earlier, Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation, said that a Russian assault on one of the villages near Pokrovsk had failed.
